Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any special requirements?
Residents must be willing to make a three-month commitment to the program and be willing and able to participate fully in all activities, including strenuous physical activity such as hiking and other outdoor adventuring.
Do you accept clients who are currently prescribed psychiatric medications?
Yes! William’s Place wants to support residents in continuing to take medications that help them manage mental health symptoms. However, due to the nature of the program, William’s Place cannot accept medications with identified abuse potential. All residents must be cleared to self-administer medications throughout their stay.
So this is a Christian program…
William’s Place is a Christian program and we want to have full disclosure in that regard. We know we aren’t for everyone, but we are for some. Please know that if you choose to come you will hear lots of people talking about Jesus.
Can I come directly from the community?
Yes. However, residents must be detoxed prior to admission to our program. We support the invaluable work of those who help individuals trapped in addiction to safely make it through this first step towards recovery.
How can I make a referral?
William’s Place requests a psychiatric assessment and a current list of medications. Forms can be faxed to 828.348.5717. Potential residents will be screened by a clinician prior to acceptance. Questions regarding admission can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also inquire by phone at 828.337.5313.
